Java vs Bedrock Compatibility

Bedrock Edition:Syntax: /playsound <sound> [player] [position] [volume] [pitch] [minimumVolume]

Important Limitations & Rules

  • Sound event names differ between Java and Bedrock (e.g. Java uses entity.experience_orb.pickup, Bedrock uses random.levelup).
  • Players with muted volume channels will not hear sounds sent on that channel.
