About the /spectate Generator

The /spectate generator forces a player in Spectator mode to view the game from the first-person perspective of a target entity.

How to Use This Generator

  1. Select target entity to view through.
  2. Select player in Spectator mode.
  3. Copy and run in chat.

Parameters & Options Explained

Target

Entity whose eyes will be observed (e.g. Creeper, Enderman, Bat).

Player

Spectator observing the entity.

Practical In-Game Example

Tested & Validated
/spectate @e[type=creeper,limit=1] @s

Puts your spectator view inside the nearest Creeper, seeing through its green faceted vision filter.

Java vs Bedrock Compatibility

Java Edition:Exclusive to Java Edition with custom mob vision shaders (Creeper green, Spider 8-lens, Enderman inverted).
Bedrock Edition:Bedrock does not support /spectate.

Important Limitations & Rules

  • The observer must already be in Spectator gamemode (/gamemode spectator).
  • Exclusive to Java Edition.
