Documentation & Guide

About the /execute Generator

The /execute generator constructs advanced multi-condition command chains, allowing commands to run from the perspective, location, rotation, or dimension of other entities when specific block or score conditions are met.

How to Use This Generator

  1. Choose the executor modifier (as <entity> to change who @s is).
  2. Select the position modifier (at <entity> to shift the execution location to that entity).
  3. Add conditional filters (if block, unless entity, if score) to gate execution.
  4. Input the final target command that should execute when conditions are satisfied.
  5. Copy the generated string into an Impulse, Repeating, or Chain command block.

Parameters & Options Explained

Executor (as)

Alters who the command considers to be "@s", without changing the coordinate origin.

Position (at)

Shifts the coordinate origin (~ ~ ~) and rotation to match the target entity.

Condition (if/unless)

Tests a game state (e.g. if block ~ ~-1 ~ water) before allowing the command to execute.

Terminating Command (run)

The final action (e.g. effect give, setblock, tp) executed under the modified context.

Practical In-Game Example

Tested & Validated
/execute as @a at @s if block ~ ~-1 ~ minecraft:water run effect give @s speed 5 1 true

Finds every player standing on top of water, shifts position to their feet, verifies the block, and grants a 5-second Speed boost.

Java vs Bedrock Compatibility

Java Edition:Supports all subcommands: as, at, positioned, anchored, rotated, facing, align, in, if/unless (block, blocks, entity, score, data, predicate, loaded), store, and run.
Bedrock Edition:Bedrock 1.19.50+ fully supports modern chained execute syntax (as, at, positioned, rotated, if/unless block/entity/score, run). Legacy single-line execute is deprecated.

Important Limitations & Rules

  • /execute requires a concluding "run <command>" keyword to perform actions.
  • Placing unconstrained /execute commands in Repeating Command Blocks without tag filters can produce severe server TPS lag.
