About the /give Generator
The /give generator builds commands to deliver items, building blocks, tools, and weapons directly into player inventories with configurable stack counts, Java 1.20.5+ item components, or Bedrock adventure mode permissions.
How to Use This Generator
- Select your Target Selector (e.g., @s for yourself, @p for closest player, or @a for everyone).
- Search or choose an Item ID from the autocomplete catalogue (e.g. minecraft:diamond_sword).
- Adjust the Quantity slider between 1 and 64 items.
- Optionally input custom components or tags (such as [enchantments={...}] on Java).
- Toggle between Java and Bedrock Edition tabs to get the exact syntax for your version.
- Click Copy Command and paste directly into Minecraft chat (T) or a command block.
Parameters & Options Explained
Specifies which player or entity receives the item. @s targets the executor, @p targets the nearest player, @a targets all players on the server.

The number of items to grant in a single command, from 1 up to a full stack of 64.
Java 1.20.5+ square-bracket components [key=val] for custom enchantments, names, and attributes, or Bedrock JSON permissions (can_place_on / can_destroy).
Practical In-Game Example

Important Limitations & Rules
- Player chat has a 256-character limit; deeply nested item components must be placed inside command blocks or function files (.mcfunction).
- Items cannot be given to offline players.
- In Bedrock Edition, custom enchantments cannot be applied through /give; use /enchant or an anvil instead.
