Disconnects a specified player from the server immediately, optionally displaying a reason.

Version Compatibility

Both Editions/kick <player> [reason]

playerSelector / Player NameRequired

The player or targets to kick.

reasonString

The reason for the kick, shown to the player upon disconnection.

/kick GriefingGamer

Kicks player "GriefingGamer" from the server.

/kick @a[distance=..10] "Clearing area for build"

Kicks all players within 10 blocks of you with a custom message.

Allows operators and server admins to instantly remove players from the server. The kicked player is allowed to reconnect immediately unless banned.
